International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day (Survivor Day) is an event first introduced in 1999 by resolution to the US Senate by Senator Harry Reid, who lost his father to suicide. The resolution designated the Saturday before Thanksgiving each year as a day for survivors of suicide loss to come together in a healing and supportive environment as they navigate this difficult type of loss. The hope is to provide connection and suicide grief support at a time that can be so difficult for so many during the holidays.

The Ed Lally Foundation has joined forces with the LiveForThomas Foundation, Bee My Voice and Bodhi Counseling to offer a more in-depth day long retreat to support deeper connection and healing for those interested in giving and receiving support.  What we know is that healing begins with acknowledgment of our losses, shared storytelling about our grief, and supportive, uplifting environments in which to begin the steps towards finding a greater sense of peace. Please join us as we connect to continue to heal our hearts.
